This role is based in Michelin Corporate & Business Services in Bucharest, where more than 800 colleagues deliver excellence in Purchasing, Finance, Logistics, Order to Cash, Service Management and Personnel.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified and/or in Finance & Accounting domain;

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English;

  • Good understanding of general accounting;

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel;

  • Adherence to tight deadlines and quick turnaround for accounting deliverables;

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management,

  • vendors, and associates

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to develop and maintain an organized structure;

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment where adaptability is imperative

  • Accurate with a strong attention to detail;

  • Previous experience using Oracle Cloud is a plus, but not mandatory

The AP & GL Analyst will be responsible of:

General ledger review

  • Perform critical tasks to justify and review monthly accounts and close books within deadlines

  • Assure quality and completeness of information recorded in Subledger, General Ledger and all detailed accounting reports according to the process concerned. Action plan to address non quality and improve quality

  • Perform analysis and control of process transactions, reporting to Company (ies)'s CBS Leaders and Local Accounting Manager

  • Prepare process’ deliverables and data necessary for Auditors and tax/regulations controllers and provide them within plan deadlines and comply with expected quality level

  • Verify that defined standards for all CBS’s/outsourcer’s accounting activities are implemented

Accounts Payable

  • Respects the local and group closing deadlines for AP module;

  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment, including coding invoices, obtaining approval, and entering the invoices into the accounting system;

  • Process employee expense reports, including verification of receipts and coding;

  • Responsible for monthly accounts payable journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations;

  • Ensure all accounts payable policies and procedures are adhered to including travel and related expenses, vendor approval and invoice processing;

  • Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices;

  • Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons;

  • Assist in ad hoc projects as needed;

  • Assures consistency of Accounts Payable with General ledger;

  • Monitors the auxiliary accounting unsettled accounts (blocked invoices, suspense accounts, etc.) and initiates analyses, and actions required for their resolution;

  • Produces accounts justifications and analyzes accounts in accordance with accounting quality standards and provides accounts to internal and external customers;

  • Initiates the supplier payments at the right deadline and with the correct payment method and amount, in conformity with the annual payment calendar agreed with treasury department;

  • Accompanies the migration towards new payment methods or to new banks;

  • Initiates/contributes to different simplification projects within the team;

Documenting processes

  • Ensures that user manuals are kept up to date and accessible to users
