This role is based in Michelin Corporate & Business Services in Bucharest, where more than 800 colleagues deliver excellence in Purchasing, Finance, Logistics, Order to Cash, Service Management and Personnel.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in accounting/controlling/ industrial controlling;

  •  Coordinating experience or experience in project management is desired but not mandatory;

  • Fluency in English (French is a plus);

  • Good team worker;

  • Analytical person, structured and detail oriented;

  • Strong Excel skills;

  • Dedicated person.

The Cost Analyst will:

  • Participate to the proper take-over of activities allocated, including the preparation of detailed manuals for the process where required;

  • Perform analysis on the balance sheet of stock BS and PL accounts;

  • Perform analysis of variances related to costs (e.g. raw materials) related to quantities, prices etc.;

  • Perform reconciliation of information from different systems/ data bases related to costs and inventories (e.g. accounts payable reconciliation with GL, reconciliation of inventories from different interfaces etc.);

  • Perform reconciliation and justification of stock accounts;

  • Calculation of different provisions and accruals and allocation on cost centers (e.g. net realizable value provision, slow moving provision etc);

  • Different checks related to inventories (e.g. check the raw materials consumption, credit notes for inventories, technological losses, transportation costs, inventory related accruals etc.);

  • Perform monthly closing tasks (including preparing all the reports required) in accordance with deadlines, expected quality levels and Group rules;

  • Participate at the preparation and control of the key indicators (Cost of Materials, Production cost, Measured Inventories, Cost of sales, Variances, inventories discrepancies, efficiency, quality, etc.). Ensure their integrity within prescribed deadlines so as to enable the entity to reach well-informed decisions;

  • Perform annual closing tasks: variances analysis and action plans, accounts cleaning;

  • Contribute to progress of information processes, methods and systems / domain;

  • Implement different process/activity changes required, participate in different projects in her/his area of activity (automatizations, standardization, simplification, efficiency changes);

  • Provide information related to finished goods in order to submit statistical report requested by local legislation;

  • Assist the Accounting manager in providing information to internal/external auditors, fiscal authorities;

  • Provide information required for the preparation of the transfer price file;

  • Assists with preparation of materials and presentations for the department manager/ team leader in case of internal/ external audit, fiscal audit, other requirements;
