About the role
As the WHSE Officer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing safety programs, ensuring compliance with legislation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your work will help prevent incidents, mitigate risks, and promote the physical and psychological well-being of our team.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with WHSE legislation and internal standards.
- Develop, implement & maintain policies, procedures and training records.
- Ensure compliance with customer site requirements and contractor management.
- Conduct inspections, identify hazards, implement effective controls.
- Investigate incidents and support corrective actions.
What are we looking for?
- Degree or Diploma in WHS, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of WHSE legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication, training, and coaching skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in safety management systems and reporting tools.
